That in case of a ^Loss ins cer- partial destruction by fire the loss shall be deter- a^ case' mined by assessors appointed as follows: The person whose property is insured shall have the privilege of selecting one disinterested person, and in ten days thereafter the Board of Directors of this company shall select another; should these two persons disagree in their valuation of a loss, they shall select another disinterested person, and the award of a majority shall be final, and the company shall pay the same within sixty days after the date of their award. Sec. 22. And be it enacted, That this Act shall in force. take effect from the date of its passage. CHAPTER 393. AN ACT to repeal an Act entitled, aa Act to au- Passed Mar- thorize Mrs. Margaret Sherwood, wife of Hugh Sherewood, of Talbot county, to close a public road leading through her lands in said county, passed at the January session of the General Assembly, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chapter three hundred and twenty-three. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Asse^m- Ac* repealed. biy of Maryland, That an Act entitled, an Act to authorize Mrs. Margaret S^herwood, wife of Hugh Sherwood of Talbot county, to close a public road leading through her land in said county, passed at the January session of the General Assembly, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chap- ter three hundred and twenty-three, be and the same is hereby repealed. Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That it shall be the duty Road to be of the said Mrs. Margaret Sherwood, within sixty oPene ' days after the passage of this Act, to re-open said road, and re-establish the same in the same order and coodition as it was in when the same was |
