should be a quorum to do business; and whereas,
the requirements of said section cannot be com-
plied with, thereby defeating the objects and pur-
poses of said Act; therefore,

Board of Di-
rectors.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That James Ecker, Jesse Lam-
bert, Sames Erhard, Ephraim Bowersex and The-
odore Hibberd, original stockholders, be and they
are hereby constituted a Board of Directors of the
New Windsor Library Company, to serve as such
until the first Saturday of May, eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven, or till their successors shall be
qualified.

Annual elec-
tion.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That on the first
Saturday of May, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, and each and every year thereafter, an elec-
tion shall be held by the stockholders for five
Directors, and the persons having the highest
number of votes shall be declared the Directors
aforesaid, a majority of whom shall be a quorum
to do business.

Repealed.

Sec. 3. Be it enacted. That so much of the Act
to which this is a supplement, as is inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act, be and the same
is hereby repealed.

Term extend-
ed.

Sec. 4, And be it enacted, That the term of the
Act to which this is a supplement, be and the
same is hereby extended for the further term of
thirty years from the date of the passage of this
Act, if not sooner repealed by the General As-
sembly.

In force.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect upon the day of its passage.
