said Park, which detailed force shall have the
same power in the premises that the police force of
the city have as conservators of the peace within
the city limits. |
Construed. |
Sec. 824. Noticing in this Act contained, shall
be so construed as to destroy or diminish the lia-
bility or responsibility of the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore for any failure to discharge
the duties or obligations of said Mayor and City
Council or any of them, or give the said Mayor
and Council any control over said Board or any
officer of police, policeman or detective appointed
thereby. |
Succession. |
Sec. 825. Nothing in this Act shall be construed
to prevent the present Commissioners and their
officers and men from continuing in the discharge
of their duties as such until their successors shall
be duly appointed and qualified. |
Examination, |
Sec. 826. And be it enacted, That all persons
arrested in the day time under the provisions of
this Act shall be taken by the officer or officers
making the arrest, immediately before the nearest
Magistrate for an examination previous to their
incarceration in either of the watch houses or jail
of the city of Baltimore. |
In force. |
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
