shall be the first Wednesday in January of each and
every year, and that the trustees herein appointed
and hereafter elected, shall have power to make
such by-laws as they deem necessary for the regu-
lation and government of said corporation., and to
change, alter) or amend them. ;it any time, pro-
viding, however, that they pass no laws in con-
flict with the laws of the United States, or the
State of Maryland.


Sec. 5. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 346.


AN ACT to extend the time allowed to the citi-
zens of East New Market, in Dorchester County,
under the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty,
chapter three hundred and eleven, to organize
this incorporation by the election of officers.

Passed Mar.
11,1867.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Act of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty, chapter three hundred and eleven,
entitled an Act to amend article ten of the Code of
Public Local Laws relating to the incorporation of
East New Market, by substituting the following
section, and repealing sections one hundred and
eighty-four, one hundred and thirty-seven, one
hundred and forty-one, one hundred and forty-two
and one hundred and forty-six of said article, be
and the same is hereby revised and extended so as
to allow and authorize the citizens of the said East
New Market, in Dorchester County, to proceed to
complete their organization by electing officers,
and in all respects become a body corporate and
politic, as much so as if they had held their elec-
tion for officers within the time specified in the
Act of eighteen hundred and sixty, chapter three
hundred and eleven.
