ford during the month of December, eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-five, and the month of January,
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, be and the same
are hereby declared to be of full force and effect,
and they shall be taken and received to have the
same effect as if such Justices had been appointed |

in conformity with law; provided, that nothing
in this Act shall be construed to effect judgments
rendered by said Justices. |

take effect from the date of its passage. |

AN ACT to incorporate the North Branch Com-
pany. |
Incorporated. |
SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That E. B. Brydon, Anthony Kean,
Peter Devecmon and such other persons as may be
associated with them in the manner hereinafter
provided, shall be and are hereby incorporated
and made a body politic by the name and style of
the North Branch Company, and by that name
shall have succession and be able to sue and be
sued. plead and be impleaded in any Court of Law
and Equity, and may have and use a common seal
and the same to alter and renew at pleasure, and
the said company shall have all the rights and
privileges necessary for mining coal and other
minerals, and the manufacture of iron, fire brick
and lumber, for the transporting of the products
of their said mines and manfactures to market,
and also shall have full power to lease and pur-
chase lands, mines and mills, with their appurte-
nances, and to hold such property, real, personal
and mixed, as they may acquire for the purpose
aforesaid, and the said company shall have power
to purchase any railroad or rights of way within |
