AN ACT to authorize the Committee of the Pres-
byterian Congregation of Pitt's Creek, in Wor-
cester county, to sell and convey certain real
estate in said county, and to reinvest the pro-
ceeds of sale. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Committee of the Presby-
terian Congregation of Pitts's Creek, in Worces-
ter county, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to sell and convey in fee simple, to
such person or persons, and for such consideration
as they may deem proper, all those lands by what-
ever name or names called, which were devised
to the said Committee by Handy Mills, late of
said county, deceased, by his last will and testa-
ment, dated the twenty-seventh day of April, in
the year eighteen hundred and fifty-three, and
duly admitted to probate in the Orphans' Court
of said county, or such portion or portions of said
lands so devised, as the said Committee shall deem
proper, and they are hereby authorized to invest
the proceeds of such sale or sales in other real
estate in said county, to be held by them upon the
same trusts as are expressed in the said will in
reference to the land devised as aforesaid. |
