agent the Sheriff for him, it or them may strike
off four jurors, and the remaining twelve shall act
as the jury of inquest of damages.

Jury requir-
ed to take an
oath.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the Sheriff
shall, before they proceed to Act as such, admin-
ister to each of said jury an oath that he will
justly and impartially value the damages which
the owner will sustain by reason of the occu-
pation of said lands required by the said Blunt,
his heirs or assigns, after deducting the value of
any benefits or advantages that will inevitably ac-
crue to said owner in consequence of the construc-
tion of said railroad.

Inquisition
to be reduced
to imting.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted; That the jury shall
reduce their inquisition to writing and shall sign
and seal the same, and it shall then be returned
by the said Sheriff to the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of his county and shall be confirmed by the
said court at its next session, if no sufficient cause
to the contrary be shown, and when confirmed shall
be recorded by said Clerk at the expense of said
Blunt, but if set aside the said court may direct
another inquisition to be taken in the manner
above prescribed.

Inquisition
to describe the
property taken
&c.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That such inquisition
shall describe the property taken or the bounds of
the lands condemned and the quantity or duration
of the interest in the same, valued for the said
Blunt, his heirs or assigns, and such valuation
when paid or tendered to the owner of the said
property or his legal representatives shall entitle
the said Blunt, his heirs or assigns to the estate and
interest in the same thus valued as fully if it had
been conveyed by the owner of the same, and the
valuation if not received when tendered may at
any time thereafter be received from the said Blunt
or his legal representatives without costs by the
said owner or his legal representatives.

Diminsions.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That said railroad
shall not exceed five miles in length nor over
twenty feet in width, with the necessary slopes.

Allowed to
purchase.

Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That the said rail-
way shall be attached to the said quarries; and
any owners thereof shall be allowed to purchase
