session thereafter unless cause to the contrary be
shown and when confirmed by the court shall be re-
corded among the records of the office of the said
Clerk, but if set aside, the Court shall order a new
inquisition to be taken as aforesaid, and it confirmed
and the damages awarded, paid or tendered by the
said Company to the owner or owners of the said
property condemned, such inquisition and confir-
mation shall vest the title and interest of the own-
ers thereof in the property condemned in the said
Company, and delay in confirmation of said con-
demnation shall in no way retard the progress or
the making of said road.


Sec. 14. And be it enacted, That no dividend
of the earnings of the said Company shall be de-
clared unless the said turnpike shall be kept in
good condition and repair for travel, nor in any
event until the said turnpike road is fully com-
pleted to the Little Gunpowder Falls, and the
question of declaring a dividend shall .be deter-
mined by the Stockholders at large at the annual
meeting in March for the election of officers, at
which meeting a full and detailed statement shall
be exhibited of the finances of the said Company,
which shall be submitted to the examination of a
Committee of the Stockholders, whose report and
action of the meeting thereof shall be recorded in
a book to be kept for that purpose and shall be
published once in some county paper.

Dividends—
when declared.

Sec. 15. And be it enacted, That as soon as
twenty-five thousand dollars of the capital stock of
said Company shall have been subscribed by pri-
vate Stockholders, the County Commissioners of
Baltimore county are hereby authorized and re-
quired to subscribe on behalf of said county, such
an amount of money that six per cent. thereof
shall equal the average yearly sum expended du-
ring the last four years by said Commissioners
upon the said Bel Air road between the city of
Baltimore and the Little Gunpowder Falls, to the
capital stock of said Company, and to levy the
same upon the assessable property of said county.

Sec. 16. And be it enacted. That the General
Assembly reserves the right to alter, amend or re-
peal this Act of incorporation at pleasure, and
that this Act shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
