have or exercise the power of preventing or delay-
ing the qualification of any Mayor or Members of
the City Council, or the exercise and performance
of their official duties by injunction, recognizance
or any other preceding. |

Sec. 5. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |

AN ACT to revise and amend an Act entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Queen Anne's and Kent
County Railroad Company, passed on the eighth
day of March, eighteen hundred and fifty-six. |

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Act entitled, an Act to incorporate
the Queen Anne's and Kent County Railroad
Company be and the same is hereby revised and
amended so as to read as follows : |

SECTION 1. .Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That James T. Earle, Stephen J.
Bradley, Wm. H. Jacobs, Lemuel Roberts, Jas.
B. Roe, Roderick Earickson, George Vickers,
David Clements, Richard C. Johnson, Washing-
ton Fenley, Lloyd Tilgman and John M. Robin-
son be and they are hereby appointed Commission-
ers to do and perform the several things herein-
after mentioned; that is to say they or a majority
of them shall at any time within two years from
the passage of this Act procure a sufficient num-
ber of suitable books, which shall be opened at
such time or times, and place or places, as they
shall think proper; in each of which said books shall
be made the following entry: We, whose names
are hereinto subscribed, do promise to pay to the
President and Directors of the Queen Anne's and
Kent Railroad Company the sum of twenty-five
dollars for each and every share of stock set oppo- |
