Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect and be in force from the date of its

Sec. 9. And be it enacted. That all laws incon-
sistent with the provisions of tins Act, be and the
same is hereby repealed. |

Entitled, AN ACT to authorize Benjamin Norris
and Elizabeth Norris, his wife, to convey by
deed a tract of land to the party therein men-
tioned. |

convoy land. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Benjamin Norris and Eliza-
beth Norris, his wife, bo and they are hereby au-
thorized to convey by deed a tract of land con-
taining thirty-one and a half acres to Martin
John Spalding, Archbishop of Baltimore, for the
use of the Pastor of St. Mary's Church, near Deer
Creek, in Harford county. |
Authority to
hold the same. |
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Arch-
bishop shall be entitled to hold said land to the
use of the Pastor of said Church, anything in the
Constitution of this State to the contrary notwith-
standing. |
In force, |
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |
