REPORT OF THE DIRECTORS.
BALTIMORE, November 30, 1835.
To His EXCELLENCY,
. AUGUSTUS W. BRADFORD,
Governor of Maryland.
The Directors of this Institution have the honor to submit
their Annual Report of its operations for the year ending
this date, and its present condition.
The accompanying tables A, B, C, D, and E, will exhibit
its financial condition, and tables No. 1 to 8 its statistics:
The report of the Clerk, Mr. J. J. 0. DOUGHERTY, shows
the available assets of the Institution to be $6, 269 45, and
the debts of every description $5, 019 06, leaving a surplus
of $1,250 39.
The expenses of the Institution for the year amount to
$68, 091 10, and the average number of prisoners 406, and
the cost of supporting them per head, $167 71.
