STATE OF MARYLAND, Somerset County, to wit:
I hereby certify that the testimony of James M. Dryden
and John H. Stewart, which is upon the annexed pages 195,
196, 197 and 198, was taken before me, on oath duly admin-
istered, and written down by Henry Page, Clerk, duly sworn,
as is heretofore certified in my former return in the same
case above entitled; and that the same was taken in pursu-
ance of notice given, (which, with the proof of service
thereof, has heretofore been transmitted to the House of Del-
egates,) on the 23d day of January, 1866, which testimony,
with the interrogatories, are herewith by me, a Justice of the
Peace of the State of Maryland, in and for Somerset, county,
transmitted to the Speaker of the House of Delegates of the
State of Maryland.
r -i Given under my hand and seal this 23d day of Jan-
[SEAL-] uary, 1866. .

STATE OF MARYLAND, Somerset County, to wit:
I, Levin Woolford, Clerk of the Circuit Court for Somerset
county aforesaid, hereby certify that Edward F. Duer, Es-
quire, before whom the above certificate appears to have been
made, and whose, name appears thereto signed, was at the
time the same bears date, one of the Justices of the Peace of
the State of Maryland, in and for Somerset county aforesaid,
duly commissioned and sworn, and that his signature thereto
is genuine, i
In testimony whereof. I hereunto subscribe my name
[SEAL.] and affix the seal of said Circuit, Court this 25th
day of January, A. D., 1866.
