I have examined the printed notice here annexed. It is taken from one of the numbers of the Somerset Herald, printed by me. All the notices and hand bills for the sev- eral election districts were identical in terms, except the change in place, and number of election district. NOTICE- REGISTRATION OF VOTERS. The officers of Registration for the 5th Election District, Somerset county, will meet at Princess Anne on every Tues- day and Wednesday, after the first Monday in August (7th) until the third Wednesday in September, between the hours of 9 A. M. and 5 P. M., for the purpose of registering the names of all white male persons over twenty-one years of age, and inquiring into their qualifications as voters under the new Constitution. No loyal man can vote unless he appear before us. No disloyal man can escape disfranchisement by failing to ap- pear, as we shall inquire diligently into all such cases.
