Election District of said county, on the 29th inst., at 10
o'clock, A. M.; at Dashiell's store, in the Tenth Election
District of said county, on Saturday, the 30th inst., at 10
o'clock, A. M,; at Littleton Hall's store, in the Eleventh
Election District of said county, on Tuesday, the 2d of Jan-
uary, 1866, at 10 o'clock, A. M,; to cross-examine the fol-
lowing witnesses, who may then and there be brought
before me by the Hon. Thomas A. Spence, to testify in his
behalf in relation to facts herein stated:
Isaac Conner, George H. Richardson, and William H. W.
Farrow, to testify to facts to prove your ineligibility to the
office of Circuit Judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of
Maryland; Isaac Gibbons to prove that he was a clerk to the
officers of registration of the Fifth Election District of Som-
erset County, and that, as such clerk, he delivered, on the
morning of the 7th of November last, to the judges of the
election in the said election district, a copy of the register
of qualified voters in said election district, and that he is a
qualified registered voter in said district, and voted for
Thomas A. Spence for Circuit Judge of the Twelfth Judicial
Circuit of Maryland at the election held in said election dis-
trict on said 7th of November.
And by Charles T. Marshall, Wm. J. Porter, Thomas S.
Hodson, Benjamin F, Lankford, to prove the conduct of the
judges of election in the Fifth Election District in said
county at the election held in said election district on the 7th
of November last, in receiving illegal votes and disregarding
the duty imposed upon them by the 18th section of chapter
174 of the laws of Maryland of the session of 1865, and that
each of them is a qualified registered voter in said election
district, and did, at the said election, vote for Thomas A.
Spence for Circuit Judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of
Maryland.

Melson, John S. Haley, James D. Waller, George B. Wal-
ler, Jr., Silas White, Benj. H. Foxwell, Charles T. Mar-
shall, John H. Stewart, Win. H. Fisher, Charles W. Gib-
bons, Henry C. Long, Wm. Bozman, Littleton Long, Sr.,
George Bound, George A. Phoebus, Americus V. Dashill,
Wm. G. T. Walles, James McClain, Edward Maddox, John
L. Lankford, Isaac Gibbons, Edward F. Duer, Littleton S.
White, James W. Warwick, Thomas E. Parks, James G.
Bowen, Wm. J. Porter, Isaac Milligan, Theodore F. Long,
Ballard Bozman, Joshua J. Riggan, Gilbert Cox, Caleb
Broadwater, Henry W. Bozman, Wm. Beauchamp, Isaac
W. Bozman, Samuel J'. Nelson, Benj. F. Lankford, James
T. Dryden, John Powell, John H. D. Jones, Phil. S. Reed,
George B. Waller, Sr., Thomas Dix, Daniel Crockett, Gillis
