ster of William, William J. Tankersly, Tandy T. Horner, Hora-
tio N. Webster, Peter W. Price, Gabriel T. Scott, Thomas J.
Jones, Severn Price, Hirum Tankersly, Marselus R. Evans,
Samuel W. White, Calvin C. Disharoon, James M. Horner, John
W. Shores, Henry C. Shores, James H. Donals, Samuel D.
Wilson, Joseph S. C. Vetra.
We, the subscribers, Judges of election in Ejection District
No. 15 of Somerset County, being of opinion that there has
been no registration in said District, in accordance with the Act
of Assembly of January Session, 1865, do adjudge and deter-
mine that it is our duty to proceed in accordance with the
second section of the first article of the Constitution of the State
of Maryland in holding this election.

STATE OF MARYLAND, Somerset County, to-wit:
We, the undersigned, duly appointed by the Commissioners of
said County, in due form of law, Judges of election in District
No. 15, do hereby certify and return that we attended, on the
7th day of November, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-
five, at Rider's office, the place appointed by law for holding the
election within said District, and did then and there appoint
Samuel Webster and Beauchamp A. Gillis, Clerks of the elec-
tion, who severally qualified as directed by law. We further
certify that we did then and there, before Thomas Bradshaw,
qualify as Judges of the election as by law directed, and did
then and there, at the hour of nine o'clock in the morning, open
the polls for an election for one person as Judge of the Circuit
Court, one person for Sheriff, three persons for County Com-
missioners, and one person for Surveyor; that we continued
the polls open until six o'clock in the evening of the same day,
when they were closed, the ballot box opened and the ballots
publicly counted, when it appeared that had
UNION TICKET.
For Judge—Thomas A. Spence, 42.
For Sheriff—Joseph Cobourne, 38.
For County Commissioners—Thomas B. Moore, 37; James
Phoebus, 47; James K- Rayfield, 33.
For Surveyor—C. C. Donoho, 38.
