So the call for the previous question was sustained. The question recurring upon the motion of Mr. McCauley; Mr. Silver moved that the House adjourn; The Speaker decided that the motion to adjourn was not in order, when the call for the previous question had been sustained. Mr. Silver appealed from the decision of the Speaker; The question being, "shall the opinion of the Speaker be sustained?" Mr. Silver demanded the yeas and nays; |
