Know all men by these presents that I John: Osborne of Pocetie Norton, in the County of Somerset
Gent; doe acknowledge and confess my selfe to owe and am indebted unto Michael: Hannah and
Adam
Spence of the same County and Province aforesd, the just sum of eight thousand pounds of tobacco
good and merchantble. which I promise to pay unto the abovesd Michael: Hannah and Adam Spence

or to their Heirs Execcutors Admrs or Assigns, and for the true performance of the same to be well
and truly paid, I bind me my Heirs, Execcutors. Admrs firmly by these presents, In testimony whereof
I have here unto sett my hand this 29th. day of Septer. Anno. Dom. 1686. - - - - - - - - - - -

The Condition of this Obligation is Such that if the above bound John: Osborne he his Heirs
Execcutors, Admrs, shall and will well and truly make over and Assigne all his right Interest &
title of two hundred Acres of Land allready Sold to the above sd Michael: Hannah and Adam
Spence, to them or to their Heirs, or Execcutors, according to forme and manner prescribed
by Act of Assembly then this Obligation to be voyd and of none effect otherwayes to be and
remain in full force and virtue. Jno: Osborne. ? seal.

in the sight and presence of } The word Eight interlined wth Consent of parties

Laid out for Michael: Hannah part of a tract of Land called Conveniencie as followeth, beginning at
at Red Oake being a Corner tree of a tract of Land belonging to Henry: Hall, next to Joshua Lights
Land, thence binding upon a pce of land Sold out of the same tract to Adam Spence East by N.
Seventy one pearches, then binding upon a pc Sould Joshua Light, North West halfe a point Northerly
two hundred and fourteen perches, thence West by South, eighty three perches, thence by a streight
line South east three degrees Southerly to the first bounded Redd Oake which is laid out for one
hundred Acres be it more or less. pr me Jno. Osborne.

Memorandm that whereas Capt Jno. Osborne late of this County deceased did in his last Will and
Testament leave unto Michael: Hannah, One hundred Acres of Land. Now know all Christian people
that I Attalanta: Whittington Execctrx of the said Will and Testament doe hereby acknowledge to have
recd of the sd Michael: Hannah full satisfaction for the One hundred Acres of Land aforesd in
wittness
whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand this last day of March. Annoq Domini 1686 - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Acknowledged signed and sealed before us.
