horse and foot, and to repeal the acts of assembly therein mentioned.  ORDERED, That Mr.
Wilkins, Mr. Hyland, Mr. Robins, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Jones, be a committee to prepare and
bring in the same.
    Mr. Digges, from the committee, brings in and delivers to the speaker the following report:
    THE committee to whom was referred the petition of sundry the inhabitants of Charles county,
praying that a road may be laid out from a place commonly called Bean-town through the Forest to
Port-Tobacco, have taken the same into consideration, and are of opinion the prayer thereof is
reasonable, and ought to be granted.  All which is submitted to the house.

    Which was read the first and second time, concurred with, and leave given to bring in a bill pursuant
thereto.  ORDERED, That Mr. Chapman, Mr. Digges, Mr. Baker, Mr. Key and Mr.
Handy, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.
    On motion, Leave given to bring in a bill to aid defects in the acknowledgment of deeds.  ORDERED,
That Mr. Wilson, Mr. Whittington and Mr. Robins, be a committee to prepare and
bring in the same.
    On motion, ORDERED, That the supplement to the act, entitled, An act for the establishment 
and regulation of the levy courts in the several counties of this state, be committed for amendment.
    The report on the petition of Ciney Welsh was read the second time, concurred with, and leave
given to bring in a bill pursuant thereto.  ORDERED, That Mr. J. C. Thomas, Mr. Hopewell
and Mr. Ridout, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.
    On motion, Leave given to bring in a further supplement to an act, entitled, An act for the preservation
of the breed of fish in Patuxent river.  ORDERED, That Mr. Calvert, Mr. Hall, Mr. 
Baker, Mr. Brome and Mr. William Thomas, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.
    The bill for the relief of Benjamin Moreton, of Baltimore county, was read the second time,
passed, and sent to the senate, with the bill to confirm the title of Levin Irving and Samuel Smylie
to the lands therein mentioned, by the clerk.
    On the second reading the bill to ascertain the allowance to jurymen and witnesses of the general
courts, and the several county courts of this state, the question was put, That each juryman attending
the county court be allowed the sum of one dollar and thirty-three cents per day?  The yeas
and nays being required, appeared as follow:

    On the second reading the bill to ascertain the allowance of the members of the general assembly,
electors of the senate, and electors of president and vice-president of the United States, the question
was put, That each member of the general assembly be allowed three dollars and fifty cents per day?
