and 7 in the negative, the Committee Rec-

THE PRESIDENT: The Convention will
please come to order.
On behalf of the Committee of the Whole,
the Chair reports that the Committee of
the Whole has had under consideration
Committee Recommendation LG-1, and has
approved the Recommendation, as amended.
The report of the Committee of the
Whole is referred to the Committee on
Style, Drafting, and Arrangement.
The Chair cannot resist saying that he
congratulates the assembly very heartily
for speedy action on a very difficult task,
and also congratulates the Committee
Chairman for a job well done.
(Applause.).

not present at roll call this morning? They
may indicate their presence on the elec-

DELEGATE MALKUS: I would like to
record my presence.
THE PRESIDENT: If the Chair may be
permitted a personal reference, which is
perhaps a violation of the rule of recogni-
tions, the Chair would like to recognize the
presence in the gallery of his older daugh-
ter and twelve-year old grandson, who hap-
pens to be his oldest grandson, and name-
sake.
