The next item on the agenda is announce-
ments.
I talked to Mrs. Hanson and am pleased
to inform you that Delegate Royce Hanson
is doing as nicely as can be expected. He
has mumps on both cheeks, and the doctors
report that incubation period has ten days
to run; so that none of you are certain to
be safe for at least another ten days.
You will recall that yesterday Delegate
Proposal No. 258 was distributed, and I
called your attention to the fact that the
last paragraph had been omitted. The re-
vised Delegate Proposal No. 258 has now
been distributed. Please destroy the one
that ends on line 21, retain the one that
ends on line 24.
I have appointed the Committee on Pub-
lic Information. I will ask the Clerk to
read the names in just a moment. I want
to make only this brief statement about the
committee.
It is larger than that had been originally
contemplated because we felt it highly de-
sirable that the committee be to the greatest
possible extent representative of the entire
State. I had a great many requests for
appointment to the committee. In order to
get the kind of representation we thought
desirable, it was necessary to disappoint
many of you in your request for appoint-
ment to this committee.
I should say that in the instance where a
delegate was already a member of two
committees, or was an officer of the Con-
vention or any of the committees, he was
not appointed on the Committee on Public
Information.
I will ask the Clerk to read the names
of the members of the Committee.
