1890 CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION OF MARYLAND [Dec. 6]

THE CHAIRMAN: It has been regularly
moved and seconded that the Committee of
the Whole rise and report its action with
respect to Committee Recommendation
SF-5. I take it your motion includes the
report that it has under consideration
Committee Recommendation S&E-2, Dele-
gate Powers?

DELEGATE POWERS: Yes, sir.
T.HE CHAIRMAN: Is there a second?

(Whereupon, the motion was duly sec-
onded.)

THE CHAIRMAN : All in favor, signify
by saying Aye; contrary, No.

The Ayes have it. It is so ordered.

(Whereupon, at 6:27 P.M., the Committee
of the Whole rose, and the Convention re-
convened.)

(The mace wan replaced by the Sergeant-
at-Arms.)

PRESIDING

THE PRESIDENT: The Convention will
please come to order.

On behalf of the Committee of the Whole,
the Chair reports that the Committee of
the Whole has approved Committee Recom-
mendation SF-o with amendments. Com-
mittee Recommendation SF-5 is referred
to the Committee on Style, Drafting, and
Arrangement.

The Committee of the Whole has also
had under consideration Committee Recom-
mendation S&E-2, still has it under con-
sideration, and desires leave to sit again.

All delegates not present at roll call
this afternoon may indicate their presence
on the supplemental roll call now.

The Clerk will record the supplemental
roll call.

Are there any announcements necessary
to be made by the committee chairmen
before recessing for dinner?

Delegate Moser.

DELEGATE MOSER: I would like to
remind the members of the local govern-
ment committee that there will be a meet-
ing of that committee tomorrow morning
at 9 A.M.

THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other
announcements by committee chairmen ?

delegates ?

The Chair recognizes Delegate Powers.

DELEGATE POWERS: Mr. President,
I move we recess until 8:00 P.M.

tion was recessed, to reconvene at S :00
