1674 CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION OF MARYLAND [Dec. 2]

Chabot and Schloeder, of the Committee on
Suffrage and Elections.

"A Minority Report recommending that
the right to vote not be extended to non-
resident property owners in municipalities."

This minority report relates to the Com-
mittee Recommendation 2 S&E-2 reads as
follows :

THE PRESIDENT: Committee Report
LG-1.

READING CLERK: A Committee Re-
port LG-1 by the Committee on Local Gov-
ernment. This is referred to the Committee
on Calendar and Agenda.

THE PRESIDENT: Are there any an-
nouncements?

DELEGATE MUDD: There will be a
meeting of my committee at 12:00 noon
Monday.

DELEGATE PENNIMAN: I would like
to remind the members of the Committee on
Style that there will be a meeting at 10:00
A.M. on Monday. It is a most important
meeting, and I would hope that all members
would be there.

THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other
announcements by committee chairmen?

(There was no response.)

Are there any announcements by other
delegates?

(There was no response.)

DELEGATE SHERBOW: I did want to
suggest on behalf of the entire assembly
that we express our thanks to the volun-
teer pages who came here today and did so
nobly. I have a little selfish reason for
making this announcement.

THE PRESIDENT: The Chair was
about to announce that and the Chair would
like to do so and read the names, if I may.
As all of you have observed, the pages are
not the usual pages. For reasons indicated
yesterday the pages are not here today. I
hope they have had as much success as
the Navy has had.

In the meantime, we have had serving
as some of the regular pages Jim Cockey.
Melissa Smith, Susan Mester, Kathy Drake,
Angie Shuey and Clifford Wright. We also
had Harry Ivrey who for some curious

reason is not labeled as substitute but
guest, and also Ricky Bernam; labeled as a
guest, an awful way to treat the guests.
Bob Young and Don Gohn. Barbara Marx
and Jeffrey Lapides have served as pages.
They are grandchildren of Delegate Sher-
bow. Ann Bridgeman is the granddaughter
of Delegate Churchill Murray. In addition,
members of the professional staff: Ros
Conn, Gail Moran, Trish Byrnes, Carol
Hennegan, Betsy Crone and Nancy Velie
have substituted as pages, and I give them
a vote of thanks.

(Applause.)
Are there any other announcements by

delegates?
(There was no response.)

Any delegates present now not present
at roll call may indicate their presence at
the supplementary roll call. The Clerk will
record the supplemental roll call.

The Chair recognizes Delegate Powers.

DELEGATE POWERS: Mr. President,
in view of the earlier announcement that
we would have night meetings on Monday.
Wednesday and Friday and latter develop-
ment that we would have only two night
sessions, I suggest that the night meeting
be on Wednesday in addition to Monday.
The program, by way of recapitulation for
next week will be that we will convene al
2:00 P.M. on Monday and at around 6:00
P.M. recess for an hour and a half and
adjourn at 10:00 P.M. On Tuesday the
schedule will be from ten to six with
an hour and a half in the middle of the
(lay.

Wednesday beginning at 10:00 A.M., but
a night session until 10:00 P.M.

Thursday 10:00 A.M. until (5:00 P.M.

Friday 10:00 A.M. until (5:00 P.M. and
Saturday 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.

I move that we adjourn until 2:00 P.M.
on Monday.

(The -motion n:as dull/ seconded.)

THE PRESIDENT: All those in favor
signify by saying Aye. Contrary No. The
Ayes have it and so ordered.

(Whereupon at 5:40 P.M. the Convention
was adjourned to reconvene at 2:00 P.M.
on. Monday , December //, 1067.)
