DELEGATE CLARK: Delegate Clagett.
DELEGATE CLAGETT: Mr. Chairman, I would have no
objection. That is a matter for Style. "By public
general law means a series of laws or a single law but
not necessarily at the same time. There can be a sub-
sequent law that would follow. But I would have no
objection in order that the Committee on Style would know
the full intent and therefore would add the letter "s"
on the word law.
DELEGATE CLARK: Delegate Dukes.
DELEGATE DUKES: Are we speaking only on the
Clagett amendment? I wish to speak to Mr. Kief or's
amendment, but I will wait until the appropriate time.
DELEGATE BAMBERGER: Mr. Chairman.
DELEGATE CLARK: Delegate Bamberger.
DELEGATE BAMBERGER: I rise to request the
Chairman of the Committee on Local Government to explain
to me what the amendment proposed by Delegate Clagett
will do and will not do.
