were announced.

It gives me great pleasure to advise you that

Delegate Melvin L. Schneider, at the ripe age of twenty-one

7

years, has just received word five minutes ago that he

8

passed the Bar Examination. (Applause.)

of the Convention, I think congratulations are in order

for Atlee Wampler on our staff and our good Sergeant at

13

Arms, Richard Rothenburg.

THE PRESIDENT: Correct, and also a third member

15

of the staff, Thomas McCarty, who is one of the draftsmen

16

in the Chief Clerk's office helping you draft proposals.

17

Three members of the staff -- Sergeant At Arms, Richard

18

Rothenburg, Atlee Wampler, Administrative Assistant to

19

the Committee on Personal Rights, and Thomas McCarty,

20

Draftsman in the Clerk's office -- have also passed the

21

Bar Examination.
