DELEGATE KIEFER: Mr. President, as announced

yesterday, next week will be devoted to hearings on due

process, equal protection of laws, and rights of the

9

poor. Wednesday evening the Committee on Personal

10

Rights and the Preamble has scheduled an open meeting

11

to which the public at large were invited, that is,

12

groups, individuals, et cetera, who wanted to express

13

their views on this subject. However, we now of course

14

recognize that this is the beginning of Jewish religious

15

holidays so we have postponed that hearing from 7:30

16

on October 4, to Monday, 7:30 p.m., and I want to be

17

sure that everybody who might be interested under-

18

stands this. This is to be given to the press, and

19

the hearing will take place on Monday, 7:30. Anyone

20

who wants to express themselves on these subjects are

21

invited. If we do not have enough time on Monday, we
