MR. QUILLEN: Resolution No. 8, by Delegate
Gerald D. Morgan. A Resolution concerning the amendment
of Rule 53 of the Standing Rules providing that no
proposals by delegates may be introduced -after October 13,
1907.
THE PRESIDENT: Resolution No. 8 is referred
to the Committee on Rules, Credentials and Convention
Budget.
Are there any other resolutions? I have a
few announcements I would like to make at this time.
I have received a request from several
delegates for instructions as to what procedure the
Convention will follow with respect to amendments to
proposals already introduced; that is, amendments which
are desired to be made or suggested by a delegate not
on the committee. I have asked the Committee on Rules,
Credentials and Convention Budget to consider the matter
and advise the Convention.
Following the public hearing last night,
which was so poorly attended, and the resultant newspaper
publicity concerning poor attendance, there were a number |
