Mr. Luetkemeyer, Treasurer of Maryland, and will also
hear from Mr. William Coleman tomorrow.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Gallagher?
DELEGATE GALLAGHER: Mr. President, ladies and
gentlemen of the House, the Committee on the Legislative
Branch had the honor to hear from the Honorable Marvin
Mandel, Speaker of the House this afternoon, who graces the
gallery of this chamber this afternoon. I am pleased to
report to the full Convention that the Committee had its
election for Vice-chairman this afternoon, and the
Honorable George W. Della, former President of the Maryland
Senate was elected Vice-chairman of our Committee.
At 9:30 tomorrow morning our Committee will hear
from Dr. Paul Cooper; the afternoon session, we will hear
from State Senator Harry Hughes, the Majority Leader. We
will also meet after this session approximately five
minutes after the recess. I have one by way of request
to make of the President and that is, Mr. President, every
