use of this word "resident," and also "domicile" and
"citizen," and we adopted the word "resident" as being
the most descriptive of what we intended.
THE CHAIRMAN: Delegate Chabot.
DELEGATE CHABOT: But then this may be somethin
that is different from a resident for purposes of the
legislative article, suffrage and elections? I still don't
understand* Am I to use the same concept?
THE CHAIRMAN: Delegate Lhabot, may the Chair
point out in the suffrage and elections article there is
provision that the legislature may define residents for
the purposes of that article?
DELEGATE CHABOT: Yes, I recognize that, and I was wondering whether that was intended to be, whether
the intent of the committee was to import whatever that
definition may be into this article, or in effect permit
a different definition of the same word in this article?
