of the proposed regulation, in whole or in part, upon

the adoption or defeat of any matter or proposal and

no person shall accept any such employment or render

any such service for a fee, salary, or other compensa-

tion, contingent upon such adoption or defeat.

Delegate Morgan called attention to the

fact he thought that was too limited, and we looked at
|

|
it again. Actually the statutory provisions which
|
10
|
regulate lobbying in the Legislature of this State are
|

|
broader; not only whether proposals are adopted or
|
12
|
defeated but whether or not the compensation is
|
13
|
contingent in any way upon the partial or complete
|
14
|
success of the outcome, so the amendment I will move in
|
15
|
a little while will strike the last line on Page 4, to
|
16
|
substitute therefor, or other compensation that is
|
17
|
determined "in whole or in part with reference to the
|
18
|
result accomplished."

I think in that respect we are more harmonious

with the present statutory provision, and it is a little
