DELEGATE BOYER: Mr. President, the General

Provisions Commission felt they had a very fruitful

4

and productive hearing at the session this morning.

5

We will continue our deliberations this afternoon. We

6

are still in the thorny educational thicket of public

7

education and this afternoon we will hear from Dr. Ramsey

8

Thomas and Mrs. John Norris. Tomorrow morning we will

9

continue our deliberations, beginning at 10 o'clock

10

sharp. At that time we will hear from Mr. Edward

11

Stapleton, former Superintendent of Public Schools,

12

Baltimore County, and a Mr. Wooden, former President

13

of the State Association of Presidents of the Board of

14

Education.

15

THE PRESIDENT: Any further announcements of

16

committee chairmen?

17

DELEGATE MOSER: Mr. President , the Committee

18

on Local Government will have no session this afternoon

19

but will meet this evening at 7 p.m. to hear representa-

20

tives of the following counties, Carroll, Frederick,

21

Washington, Allegany, Garrett, and Harford.
