I understand that all of the proposals which
have been read across the desk today have been reproduced
and either have been distributed or will be in a very
few minutes. Delegate Scanlan?
DELEGATE SCANLAN: Mr. President, I would like
to move at this time that the Convention extend its
congratulations to Delegate Rybczynski who, no matter how
much he is neglected on the board, has a wife who gave
birth to their ninth child this morning.
THE PRESIDENT: Delegate Rybczynski, I am sure
you want to record this remark on the tape; so let's be
sure your microphone is working.
DELEGATE RYBCZYNSKI: So that I won't forget it,
Mr. President, just by way of response and by way of
explanation, not only as to the cigars, although it might
be nice for me to distribute a cigar to each desk, I did
i it symbolically by going north, east, south and west. I
want you to know I was not a cheapskate about this. I
really paid a dollar for each cigar. I get to keep the
watch that came with the cigars. Thank you.
THE PRESIDENT: Are there any other motions? |
