Mrs. Eckenrode are today celebrating their 25th wedding
anniversary. When the time comes for adjournment this
evening, I propose to move that we adjourn in honor of
this happy couple, and now I move, Mr. President, that
the daily Calendar and Agenda be adopted.
THE PRESIDENT: Is there a second?
(The motion was duly seconded.)
THE PRESIDENT: Any discussion? All those in
favor, signify by saying Aye; contrary, No. So ordered.
The Calendar is adopted.
The next item of business which is part of the
regular order of business, but doesn't appear on the
agenda, because it does not require any action, except
reference, is the report of the Committee on Rules. I
understand that the third report of the Committee on
Rules and Credentials and Convention Budget is on the
desks of the delegates, is that correct, Mr. Clerk?
MR. WAGONHEIM: Yes, Mr. President.
THE PRESIDENT: Do you have the report?
The Clerk will read the report.
