THE PRESIDENT: I don't think the motion would
be in order at this time. If the present motion fails, you
will be able to offer that as an amendment to the primary
motion.
DELEGATE BARD: I would really be interested and
more concerned if the present motion passes.
THE PRESIDENT: The Parliamentarian thinks that
the Chair could permit you to make the amendment either
way, either as a secondary amendment to the amendment now
pending or in the manner I indicated.
DELEGATE BARD: I would prefer to make it as
a secondary or tertiary amendment whichever it nay have to
be.
THE PRESIDENT: State your amendment.
DELEGATE BARD: Mr. President, I move that we
convene tomorrow at 12 noon.
THE PRESIDENT: I take it that is a motion to
amend the amendment to the primary motion, to provide that
the Convention adjourn until noon tomorrow, Tuesday,
rather than 10 a.m. Wednesday. Is there a second?
(Whereupon, the motion was seconded.) |
