I want to use the opportunity today to present
2
to you formally a number of resolutions of thanks to
3
various persons and various organizations which have been
4
of assistance to the Convention.
5
These will be read across the desk by the clerk,
6
and will be adopted by voice vote unless a roll call is
7
requested.
8
In addition, immediately following that, I would
9
like to bring in, in groups, and present to you personally,
10
every member of the staff of this Convention. As I call
11
them by groups I will have them come in the rear door
12
and come to the well of the chamber so you may see them
13
and greet them personally.
14
Following that, it will be necessary for us
15
to consider a number of amendments to the Constitution
16
and two schedules.
17
As I indicated previously, the staff, almost
18
the entire staff has worked very strenuously since adjourn-
19
ment Saturday in order to check in every possible way the
20
accuracy of the third reading copy which was finally
21
acted upon.
