THE PRESIDENT: The amendment is seconded by

Delegate Groh. The Chair recognizes Delegate Grant.

DELEGATE GRANT: This is a simple housekeeping

9

amendment. As Section 33 was originally written, it

10

did not take into consideration the fact that Baltimore

11

City is no longer a city. It is now a county with the

12

proper name of Baltimore City.

13

However, in the general publication of statutes,

14

it has always been required it be published in two

15

newspapers in any county, unless there is only one

16

newspaper, in which case it is published in that one

17

newspaper.

18

However, Baltimore City, the situation arose

19

a number of years ago in which they found it was

20

necessary to make publications in three newspapers.

21

Therefore, this amendment is written to do
