THE PRESIDENT: There is not. This matter was
considered at length by the Rules Committee. The adoption
of any such procedure would seriously disrupt the
orderly procedure of the Convention and could cause
interminable delay.
DELEGATE WHEATLEY: Thank you.
THE PRESIDENT: Any further questions? One
other matter of practice that 1 want to announce. Delegate
Malkus asked me yesterday if it would not be possible to
work out a procedure under which a committee recommendation
after its consideration by the Committee of the Whole
and while it was being considered by the Committee on
Style could be reprinted in its amended form and made
available to delegates.
This indeed can be done and will be done.
The amendment to Committee Recommendation GP-1 yesterday
will be circulated by tomorrow. We will follow the
practice of printing the recommendation showing any
language deleted by amendment as stricken through and any
