in any event, this truly happened. A judge here was

supporting his daughter, his grandchild, and he was having

a pretty tough time.

However, he tried to keep his home in order

and his yard in order. He had a man come and cut the yard

for him.

When the man had cut the yard and he went to

pay him, the judge just didn't have any money and I said

to him, "John, I will see that you are paid".

Well, John waited two or three weeks, had not

been paid, returned and the judge said: "John, I haven't

12

any money, but I will see that you are paid. If I live I

13

will pay you. If I don't, I will see that you are paid.

And the old fellow said, "Deed, Judge, you know sensible

15

well I ain't going to have time go hunting all over hell

16

for you." (Laughter)
