Secondly, there are other municipalities who

require that in order to be eligible to be elected as an

officer of that municipality you have to in fact be a

property owner.

Again, in 1967, we felt that had no place in

our constitution. To take this out would permit these

practices to continue on, and the committee felt very
|
|

|
strongly that this should not be permitted.

For these reasons, I urge you to reject this

amendment.
