the trial in an ordinary judicial fashion and for that

reason, your Committee on Judicial Provision adopted the

3

draft and recommended to the Committee of the Whole that

4

the impeachment process be approved in the Constitution

5

as we have it now. We felt that there was a necessity

6

for the constitutional provision.

The U. S. Constitution parallels the English

8

practices, but I suggest again that we have varied

9

slightly from that and, again, we recommend that GP-10

10

be adopted by the Committee.

to interpret this recommendation to the extent that it

covers the impeachment of judges and their removal from
