461 THURSDAY, August 11th, 1864. The Convention met at 10 o'clock, A. M. Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Owen. All the Members present except the following:
Messrs. Audoun, Baker, Barron, Belt, Berry, of Baltimore The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved. Mr. Purnell submitted the following resolution:
Resolved, That this Convention will adjourn sine die on Which was read the first time.
The Convention proceeded to the consideration of the re- Mr. Stirling submitted the following amendment:
Sec. 2, last line, strike out the words "shall be, " and in- Decided in the affirmative. Mr. Miller submitted the following amendment.
Strike nut the word "Legislature, " and insert "General Decided in the affirmative. Mr. Miller submitted the following amendment:
Sec. 4, last line, strike out the words "shall be, " and insert Decided in the affirmative.
Mr. Stockbridge submitted the following amendment:
