The question then recurred on seconding the
demand for the previous question,
And being put, it was seconded, and the main

upon which he demanded the previous ques-

Ordered, That Samuel Peacock be allowed
fifty cents per diem for various extra .services
rendered to this Convention.
On motion of Mr. SCHLEY,
The Convention was called.
Mr. SHRIVER moved that the Convention take
a recess until nine o'clock, p. m.
Mr. STEPHENSON moved that the question be
taken by yeas and nays;

So the Convention refused to take a recess.
Mr. BRENT, of Baltimore city, moved to suspend
further proceedings under the call;
Which motion was agreed to.
Mr. CONSTABLE withdrew the demand lor the
previous question.
Mr. SPENCER moved to amend the order by
striking out "fifty cents," and inserting in lieu
thereof "one dollar," and renewed the demand
for the previous question;
Which was seconded,
And the main question ordered, viz:
On the adoption of the amendment of Mr.
SPENCER.
Mr. THAWLEY moved that the question be ta-
ken by yeas and nays;
Which being ordered,
Appeared as follows:
Affirmative—Messrs. Chapman, President, Morgan,
Blakistone, Dent, Hopewell, Ricaud, Cham-
bers of Kent, Donaldson, Dorsey, Wells, Ran-
