Mr. Chambers of Kent, moved for a divisiun of the question
upon each order;

nnd nays, and being ordered appeared as follows:

Mr. Stewart of Caroline, moved the Convention adjourn until
to-morrow morning half past 8 o'clock.
Mr. Howard, rose to the following point of order
That the previous question having been called and ordered, and
the order to adjourn sine die being under the operation of the pie
vious question, a motion to adjourn until tomorrow morning at
half past 8 o'clocfr, was not in order.
The President ruled the motion to he in order,
From which opinion of the Chair, Mr. Howard appealed,
The question was then put,
Shall the opinion of the chair stand as the judgment of the
Convention? and it was
Determined in the affirmative.
The question was then put on the motion of Mr. Stewart of
Caroline, to adjourn until to-morrow morning at half past S
o'clock.
Mr. Brent, of Balt. city, moved the question be taken by yeas
and nays and being ordered appeared as follows:
