The question then recurred upon the adoption of the substitute
as offered by Mr. Mc Lane, and amended on the motion of Mr.
Crisfield for the 1st section of the teport as amended.
Mr. Morgan, moved the Convention adjourn;
Determined in the negative.
Mr. Spencer, moved for a call of the Convention,
Mr. Chambers, of Kent, moved the Convention adjourn.
Determined in the affirmative.
And the Convention accordingly adjourned until to-morrow
morning 10 o'clock.

The Convention met.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Griffith.
The proceedings of yesterday were read.
Mr. Biser, presented a petition of 36 citizens of Frederick
county, praying for the creation of a new county, to be composed
of the whole of Middletown Valley, from the Pennsylvania line
to the Potomac, including such portions of Washington county
as are contiguous to the districts named.
