The Convention resumed the consideration of the order of the
the day, being the report submitted by Mr. Dorsey, on the 11th
inst., as chairman of the committee on the Declaration of Rights;
The question pending before the Convention being on the
amendment offered by Mr. Chambers, of Kent, on yesterday, to
the amendment offered by Mr. Presstman, on the 28th inst.;
Mr. Fiery, moved the previous question, that is,
"Shall the main question be now put?" and it was
Determined in the negative.
The question then recurred on the amendment to the amend.
ment;
After debate thereon,
Mr. Kilgour, moved that the Convention adjourn;
Determined in the affirmative.
And the Convention accordingly adjourned until to-morrow
morning 11 o'clock.
