And that no majority appearing no election was had.
On motion of Mr. Thomas,
The Convention adjourned until to-morrow 12 o'clock.


SATURDAY, November 9th, 1850.

The Convention re-assembled pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Graff.
All the members present as yesterday.
The minutes of yesterday were read and approved.
Mr. Ridgely withdrew his name as a candidate for the office of
President.
Mr. Ridgely moved that the Convention now proceed to the
election of a President.
Determined in the affirmative.
The chairman called Mr. Sprigg to the chair.
The Convention then proceeded to vote for a President, when
the Tellers reported the following result:
