" By the senate, January 3, 1800:  Read the second time by especial order and assented to.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk."
The resolution respecting the register of wills of Anne-Arundel county, endorsed; " By the 
" senate, January 3, 1800:  Read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk.
" By the senate, January 3, 1800:  Read the second time by especial order and dissented from.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk."
    The following message being prepared, was read, agreed to, and sent to the senate by the
clerk.

By the HOUSE of DELEGATES, January 3, 1800.
        GENTLEMEN OF THE SENATE,
    WE shall finish the business of the session before we adjourn this evening, except signing and
sealing the laws, and we propose to meet to-morrow morning at seven o'clock for that purpose.
                                                    By order,                                      W.  HARWOOD, clk.
    Mr. McPherson, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the journal of accounts; which
was read the first and second time, assented to, and leave given to bring in a bill for the payment
of the same.
    Mr. McPherson, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act for the payment of the journal
of accounts; which was read the first and second time by especial order, passed, and sent to the
senate by the clerk.
    The clerk of the senate delivers the paper bills No. 15, 22, 25, 46, 47, 53, 65, 67, 68, 69,
74, 75, 80 and 83, with the engrossed bills thereof, which engrossed bills were thus endorsed;
" By the senate, January 3, 1800:  Read and assented to.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk.", 
    The paper bills No. 15, 22, 25, 46, 47, 53, 65, 67, 68, 69,  74, 75, 80 and 83, were sent
to the senate by the clerk.
    The engrossed bills No. 82, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90 and 91, were read and assented to, and
sent to the senate, with the paper bills thereof, by the clerk.
    The clerk of the senate delivers the resolution suspending certain appropriations, endorsed;
" By the senate, January 3, 1800:  Read the first and second time by especial order and assented to.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk."
The resolution respecting the treasurer of the western shore, endorsed; " By the senate, January
" 3, 1800:  Upon reconsideration assented to.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk."
And the following message:
By the SENATE, January 3, 1800.
        GENTLEMEN,
    IN answer to your message of this evening, the senate have to observe, that it is with great
inconvenience that they have been able to keep a senate at this time; if the other business of the session
is closed, the senate can see no reason why the laws may not be signed and sealed this evening;
they have requested the attendance of the governor for that purpose, and hope that your
house will concur with them in a wish of closing of the session, and accommodating those gentlemen
of both houses who must be anxious to return to their respective homes.
                                                    By order,                                      A.  VAN-HORN, clk.
    THE following message being prepared, was read, agreed to, and sent to the senate by the clerk.
By the HOUSE of DELEGATES, January 3, 1800.
        GENTLEMEN OF THE SENATE,
    IN answer to your message relating to signing and sealing the laws this evening, we shall be
ready to attend your house at half past 9 o'clock; our business is closed, and we wait for such as
may be unfinished in your house, if any.
                                                    By order,                                      W.  HARWOOD, clk.
    The clerk of the senate delivers the journal of accounts, endorsed; " By the senate, January
" 3, 1800: Read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

" By the senate, January 3, 1800:  Read the second time by especial order and assented to.

And the bill for the payment of the journal of accounts, endorsed; " By the senate, January
" 3. 1800:  Read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk.
" By the senate, January 3, 1800:  Read the second time by especial order and will pass.
                                                    " By order,                                    A.  VAN-HORN, clk."
Ordered to be engrossed.
    The engrossed bill No. 92, was read and assented to, and sent to the senate, with the paper bill
thereof, by the clerk.
    Charles Carroll, of Carrollton, and Littleton Dennis, Esquires, from the senate, acquaint
Mr. Speaker that the governor is waiting in the senate to sign and seal the engrossed bills, and
requests the attendance of this house for that purpose.
    Mr. Speaker left the chair, and, attended by the members of this house, went to the senate,
and there presented the following engrossed bills to the governor, who signed the same, and affixed
the great seal thereto, in the presence of both houses.
