month, payable in cash or county order equivalent to cash,
on the day of his making his report, which he is required to
submit in writing, under oath, taken before the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Washington County to the County Commis-
sioners at their first regular meeting in each month; said report
shall contain in detail each and every charge he may have
against the county; provided, that if the amount of the con-
stable's fees for the service of process by him, as appear by
his report and the report of the justices of the peace is less
than thirty-five dollars, then and in that case such con-
stable shall only receive the amount of fees appearing by said
reports to have been earned by him.

265J. The duly appointed and qualified police officers of
the town of Hagerstown are hereby invested with full power
and authority of county constables without pay other than
that received from said town, but they shall not have any
jurisdiction in civil cases.

271. The justices of the peace in Washington County, except
the justices of the third, seventeenth, twenty-first, twenty-
second, twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth districts, shall be en-
titled to charge for their services in all criminal cases tried or
heard before them the following fees, to wit: For issuing
each State writ, twenty-five cents; for summoning all the wit-
nesses on both sides in any case, fifty cents; for each trial,
one dollar, for every commitment, twenty-five cents; for
every release, twenty-five cents; for any recognizance in each
case reported to the Circuit Court, including witnesses,
twenty-five cents; the fees for services of the police justice of
the peace, districts three, seventeen, twenty-one, twenty-two,
twenty-four and twenty -five, of said county, shall be the same
as herein allowed to justices in other districts, but shall be
taxed, collected and accounted for by him as in the preceding
sections of this Act provided. And any justice of the peace
other than the police justice of the peace in the districts three,
seventeen, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-four and twenty-
five who shall issue a warrant of arrest for any person charged
with a violation of law, shall be allowed the sum of ten cents
for issuing said warrant and all other services he may render
in said case, and the said police justice shall be allowed the
sum often cents for all services he may render in a civil suit.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all. Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby
repealed, and that all appointments of constables for any one
or all of the districts three, seventeen, twenty-one, twenty-
two, twenty-four and twenty-five heretofore made are declared
