contracts, deeds or muniments of title, or any other article or
thing whatsoever, and to advance money thereupon on such
terms and conditions as may be established or approved by
said corporation; and it may be lawful for any court of this
State or for any United States Court into which money,
stocks, bonds or other property may be paid or deposited by
agreement of parties, order, judgment or decree of such courts,
to order and direct the same to be deposited with said cor-
poration; and any executor or administrator or other trustee
or receiver, agent or other public officer having control of any
bonds, stocks, securities, moneys or other valuables belong-
ing to others shall be and is hereby authorized to deposit the
same with said corporation; and in all cases in which public
officers or municipal or private corporations may be author-
ized to deposit money, stocks, bonds or evidences of indebted-
ness, such deposits by such officers or corporations may be

made with said corporation; and in case of the dissolution of
said corporation the debts due from the same as depository of
funds uijder the order of any court or courts shall be pre-
ferred in the distribution of the assets of said corporation; and
for the complete preservation of all articles or things so depos-
ited for safe-keeping, the said corporation may construct,
erect, purchase or lease such suitable buildings and all other
means which may be or become necessary, and to maintain or
let for hire vaults, safes and receptacles.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 6oo.

AN ACT to refund to Abraham Corbett, of Washington
County, a sum of money erroneously paid by him into the
Treasury of the State.

Washington
County.

WHEREAS, Abraham Corbett, of Washington County, er-
roneously paid to the several collectors of State taxes of said
county, the sum of seventy-four dollars and forty six cents
($74.46) for the years 1878, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1883, 1884,
1885, 1886, 1887, 1888, 1889, 1890, 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894,
1895, the proportion of the county taxes on the same assess-
ment for the years mentioned has been asked to be refunded
to him by giving authority to the County Commissioners of
Washington County to refund the same.
