SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
granted to the following gifts and bequests contained in the
last will and testament of Margaret S. Ferguson to and for the
use of certain religious corporations, denominations or sects,
as herein set forth:
First. To the bequest contained in the last will and testa-
ment of said Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll county,
deceased, of two hundred dollars to the Presbyterian Church
at New Windsor, Maryland.
Second. To the bequest contained in the last will and testa-
ment of said Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll county,
deceased, of two hundred dollars to the Methodist Protestant
Church at Uniontown, Maryland.
Third. To the bequest contained in the last will and testa-
ment of said Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll county,
deceased, of two hundred dollars to Saint Paul's Lutheran
Church, at Uniontown, Maryland.
Fourth. To the bequest contained in the last will and testa-
ment of said Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll county,
deceased, of one hundred dollars to the Methodist Episcopal
Colored Church, near Uniontown, Maryland.
Fifth. To the bequest contained in the last will and testa-
ment of said Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll county,
deceased, of two hundred dollars to the Church of God,
(so-called), at Uniontown, Maryland.
Sixth. To the bequest contained in the last will and testa-
ment of said Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll county,
deceased, of five hundred dollars to the Board of Foreign
Missions of the General Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in the United States.
Seventh. To the bequest contained in the last will and
testament of said Margaret S. Ferguson, late of Carroll
county, deceased, of five hundred dollars to the Board of For-
eign Mission of the Methodist Protestant Church.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.
