to the Peoples' Bank of Baltimore City, a body corporate, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
as follows, that is to say:

SEC. 3. The capital stock of said corporation shall be
divided into shares of the par value of twenty dollars each,
whereof the aggregate par value shall not exceed five hundred
thousand dollars, nor be less than two hundred thousand dol-
lars, and the said corporation, or the board of directors
thereof, acting on its behalf, shall have power in its discretion
to invest from time to time the funds of the corporation, in
the purchase of any shares of its stock, which shall thereupon
be retired and cancelled, and any such purchase of the stock
of said corporation heretofore made by the said corporation or
the board of directors thereof on its behalf, are hereby ratified
and approved, and the same may be retired and cancelled as
aforesaid; provided, however, that the outstanding and un-
cancelled shares of said stock shall at no time be less than ten
thousand, representing an aggregate par value of two hundred
thousand dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 78.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the "Sovereign Grand
Lodge" of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, as incor-
porated by Chapter eighteen of the Act passed at the Janu-
ary session of the General Assembly of Maryland of
eighteen hundred and eighty, by changing the name of said
corporation to "The Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Inde-
pendent Order of Odd Fellows."

SECTION : . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the name of "The Sovereign Grand Lodge of the
Independent Order of Odd Fellows," as recited in Section one
of Chapter eighteen of the Act passed at the January session
of the General Assembly of Maryland of eighteen hundred
and eighty, be and the same is hereby changed to the name
of "The Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of
Odd Fellows," under which name said corporation shall here-
after be known, and shall have and exercise all the powers
and privileges conferred by said Act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
